Ist es, was ich mir erhofft hatte? Was ich mir erträumt hatte? Wonach ich mich gesehnt hatte in den Nächten, als der Schlaf mir seine Gunst verwehrte? Ich weiß es nicht. Und hätte ich von Anbeginn der Zeit bis zum letzten Lidschlag von Allem, so würde ich keine Antwort finden. Ist doch die Wirklichkeit der Vorstellung so nah und so fern zugleich. Kann doch kein Wort an das nächste gereiht je die wahre Natur dessen beschreiben, was Seelen träumen. Und ist doch der Seelen Traum nur das Spiegelbild auf dem See, etrübt von den Wogen, wenn wir hinein fallen, um uns schlagen und panisch versuchen, nicht zu ertrinken? Ich weiß es nicht. Den letzten Schritt ins Ungewisse muss ich gehen, so nicht alles vergebens sei. Doch noch stehe ich gelähmt von Angst an der Schwelle. Zögernd. Misstrauisch gegenüber dem neuen Tag. Eine Ewigkeit in der Dunkelheit und nun sollte ich das Licht fürchten? Nein! Mag sein, ich habe vergessen, wie es war. Doch werde ich es lernen. Werde stehen unter der strahlenden Sonne. Werde den Wind spüren. Werde die Welt noch einmal sehen, wie sie ist. Nicht das Zerrbild, das mich hielt. Und so lange sich meine Brust mit jedem neuen Atemzug hebt, ist es nicht zu spät. Ein Schritt. Ein neuer Anfang. Frei von Ketten und mit neu gefundener Stimme. Soll doch die Angst und all’ ihre stummen Götter ihre Klauen nach mir strecken. Ich habe sie gesehen, Habe getanzt in den Flammen ohne Licht, Die eiskalten Funken auf meiner Haut gespürt. Sie hat geraubt, was sie konnte und ließ mir nur die leere Hülle. Oh, aber solange sich meine Brust mit jedem neuen Atemzug hebt, ist es nicht zu spät. Ein Schritt. Frei von Ketten und mit neu gefundener Stimme. Ein neuer Anfang.
